A generator service company built by people who have spent their careers on emergency power.
GenWorx Power Systems is the result of a group of people with more than 50 years of combined experience in the emergency power business deciding to do it their own way.
We are based in Ajax, Ontario, and we do one thing: we service and repair standby generators and the equipment around them. We are not an electrical contractor that also does generators. Standby power is the whole business, and that focus is the reason our technicians can walk up to an unfamiliar machine and know what they are looking at.
Our vision is to be completely invested in servicing and repairing your standby generator and its associated equipment. In practice, that means four things.
To keep every generator we look after ready to run on the day it is needed. We do that with honest inspections, clear reporting and technicians who know these machines inside out — so our customers never have to wonder whether their backup power will start.
To be the generator service company that Ontario’s hospitals, municipalities and property managers call first — known not for being the biggest, but for being the one that turns up, does the work properly, and tells the truth about what it found.
If your generator has a problem, you hear about it the same day, in language you can act on. If it does not, we say that too. We do not invent work.
Standby power exists to protect people. Our technicians work to the standards that apply to your building, and we will not sign off on something that is not right.
A service schedule is only worth something if the technician actually arrives. Being on site when we said we would be is the base level, not the achievement.
Our people have spent their working lives on standby power. That is why we can work on Cat, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, MTU and Detroit Diesel rather than one brand.
Reports you can read. Quotes you can understand. No jargon used to make a job sound bigger than it is.
GenWorx was put together by people who have spent their careers in emergency power. That is not marketing — it is the reason we can diagnose a fault on an unfamiliar machine and get it right the first time. Experience is what you are actually buying when you hire a generator company.
Cat, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, MTU, Detroit Diesel and more. You do not need one company for the generator in one building and a different company for another. One provider, one schedule, one point of contact for your whole portfolio.
Meeting the CSA requirements is legally the building owner’s responsibility. Our job is to make that as painless as possible. We offer full packages covering the weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections, with the paperwork done properly so it stands up when someone asks to see it.
Some customers have in-house staff who handle the weekly checks themselves. We will not sell you work you are already doing. We build a modified plan that fills the gaps and leaves the rest alone.
We work with property managers, municipalities, provincial and federal government, hospitals and long-term care homes, universities and colleges, and transit. These are buildings where the generator failing is not an inconvenience, it is a serious incident. That is the standard we work to.
Top quality service at reasonable rates, from highly skilled technicians, on a schedule built around your requirements. That was the promise GenWorx started with and it has not changed.
Most of our work is in buildings where a power failure is a serious event rather than an inconvenience — property management, municipalities, provincial and federal government, hospitals and long-term care, universities and colleges, transit, and other operations running emergency standby power. That has shaped how we work.
Our technicians have spent their working lives on standby power. Between them the team has over 50 years in emergency power, across every major make of generator. They are the reason a GenWorx van pulling up to an unfamiliar machine is not a problem.
Call us and we will tell you straight.
